Celebrating our 2022 All Stars
At the end of last year, we announced our 2022 All Stars. Our All Stars are the individuals, stores and teams who truly excelled in living our Values and deserved special recognition.
Becoming an All Star is an amazing achievement, and we want to celebrate and learn more about the winners. Over the coming year, we’ll be interviewing our 2022 All Stars and the first in our series is Pamela Brown.
Pamela is the epitome of collaborative, consistent and proactive – always delivering well above expectations. She was nominated for consistently supporting others to deliver exceptional outcomes on top of performing exceptionally in her BAU role. Always happy to help her team she makes time to provide support, provide direction and mentor others.
Tell us about your role and your career to date at Three.
I came from o2 to Three and started as a Complaints Advisor in CRT. I worked my way into the Fraud Department and was lucky enough to work within the wider fraud team through different secondments building up my Network, System, Processes and Fraud knowledge from there I moved into the role of Lead Analyst – Commercial Optimisation.
How did being awarded an All Star make you feel and what does it mean to you?
It’s an absolute honour to have won an All Star and I’m over the moon to have been one of the winners. There is so much talent here at Three and everyone works so hard. I appreciate every opportunity and discussion that has happened for me to win the award and for everyone who has contributed to the outcomes that have led to this moment. The last year was a lot of tireless work however I have not done it by myself – “The people who want to see you win, will help you to win.” I hope everyone knows how much I appreciate them, their hard work and the opportunities that have been to given me that have ultimately led to being awarded an All Star.
What are your favourite things about working at Three?
The people, The development opportunities and the empowerment to be myself
What do our values mean to you and which one do you most connect with?
I truly connect with all of Threes’ values on a professional and personal level. The one I connect with most is to appreciate each other, sometimes you just never know what is going to come along and we really do need everyone’s skill/knowledge and experiences to be the best.
What is the best career advice you ever received?
By spending the time learning now, you’ll make life easier in the long run.
How do you unwind off from work?
I have a 2.5 year old so I don’t get to unwind very often but I do have a dog who I love to walk and go on adventures with, lucky something we can all do together.
Have you any plans for spending your All Star award?
A trip to Disneyland Paris 😃
How does receiving a 3celebrates make you feel and what do you like about the platform?
I think it’s a great platform and a lovely way for us all to recognise and appreciate each other. Where we can take the time to demonstrate the value of our work and the impact it has. I’m not sure we would share that message so easily without the platform as it’s so easy to move on to the next project without reflecting on the outcomes but with 3celebrates we can celebrate the work together.
How do you ensure you use 3Celebrates to give back to your colleagues often?
I take the time to write really thoughtful cards and show my appreciation to others. I think it’s a nice way to recognise the amazing work everyone is doing and achieving and it’s a great way for them to reflect on their mid/full year and to receive a nice reward on the back of that is just the icing on the cake.
